Song For Natalie

My way forward is always about going deeper into God’s love for me. Deeper into God’s heart, deeper into union and communion with Him. I’m walking the road to claiming my identity as the Beloved of God.

—Sharon Garlough Brown, Sensible Shoes

“Wash me…” from the dust of dreams,

Of sorrow’s song with iron bars

Take from me my ash and tears;

I lay them down—the bitter years…

Of enemy’s lies and wicked schemes;

Brought to naught—my Savior wars…

To keep His child safe from harm,

Though battered by the fiercest storms

Song For Natalie

Weary yes, but standing still;

His anchor holds by Sovereign will

This heart and hope forgiveness frees,

To “Never more!” a captive be

I’ll take His mantle—this basin/towel

For others washed my wounds so foul;

Brought oil, and wine, and Spirit’s kiss

Dear Jesus, “Help me!” be like this…

Song for Natalie

With tenderness, You heal, and woo;

For their laments—You suffered, too

So I’ll trade stage and world renown;

For Your “Well done…” and heaven’s crown

I’m exhausted and worn out with my weeping. I endure weary, sleepless nights filled with moaning, soaking my pillow with my tears. My eyes of faith won’t focus anymore, for sorrow fills my heart. There are so many enemies who come against me!  Psalm 6: 7 TPT
