Praying For Family

Now I will break off his yoke from you, and burst your bonds apart. Nahum 1:13

The last six months have been challenging to say the least, but family history has taught me, it is a very good sign when the enemy shows up!

I firmly believe that if your life is off track in some way you are of little concern to Satan and his henchmen. But, if you are walking close to your Savior, if you are so in love with Him that you are available for any assignment as soon as you receive it?

Honey, you have a great big bull’s eye on your back.

Prayer is the key.

I remember someone teaching me long ago, “Nothing happens in the natural until you first hit your knees and do serious business in the supernatural.”

Meaning?

Prayer is the key that opens every door to supernatural intervention–no matter what you need.

Flipping the script

I therefore believe with all my heart that prayer is the key.

If you are desperate and there is no answer in sight?

If you have done everything you know and still the mountain does not move?

Hit your knees!

Talk to Jesus face to face and heart to heart.

Let the tears flow!

He already knows the answer and what He is going to do to solve the problem.

Jesus knows…

I used to know a lady that had a simple expression for every dilemma, “Jesus knows all about it.”

Why are we so prone to look everywhere and to everyone else, when Jesus already knows all about our problem, and He already knows exactly the right when, the right way, the right where, and the right how.

So, last night I took Him some really messy problems.

I presented Him with my really stubborn mountains that will not move.

I said through tears, and praise (that second one is also really important) “LORD, I’m giving all this to You, laying it at the foot of Your nail scarred feet. I don’t have any answers but I know you do.”

I kept on praising Him.

And this is how He answered me…

Oh, the peace that flooded my room.

Anger is not the answer.

Despair is not the answer.

Prayer and praise, there are your keys to the doors of heaven.

Stand on His Word.

“I will bring the blind by a way they did not know.” Isaiah 42:16

  1. This post is for my sweet niece Dari, as well as every prodigal in my family. I pray for you all that God would do miracles in your lives, and teach each one of you, just like He taught me, just HOW MUCH He loves you!
