Break forth with dancing! Make music and sing God’s praises with the rhythm of drums! Psalm 149:3 TPT
I remember (it was years ago now) when the bottom fell out of my life, and every day looked like the sun would never shine again.

I would read a verse in my bible like the one above and think,
“Are you kidding God? You expect me to make music and dance in these ashes?”
For some, right now, all they see are the ashes of what used to be their dreams.
(I know.)
I’ve been there, too.
Asking the impossible
Sometimes it seems like God is asking the impossible from us–right?
Yet, He has made us these wonderful promises in His Word:
- Then he broke through and transformed all my wailing into a whirling dance of ecstatic praise! He has torn the veil and lifted from me the sad heaviness of mourning. He wrapped me in the glory-garments of gladness. Psalm 30:11 TPT
- These liars will be silenced forever! But with the anointing of a king I will dance and rejoice along with all his devoted lovers who trust in him. Psalm 63:11 TPT
- And the princes of God’s feasts will sing and dance, singing, “Every fountain of delight springs up from your life within me!” Psalm 87:7 TPT
GOOD NEWS in the midst of all the bad news

One of the things I love best about my intimate relationship with Jesus is how He comes close to me, and comforts me, when I am going through my worst days.
When everything falls apart–He comes close.
I admit, I don’t always feel like He is close.
But, that’s when I stand on His promise to never leave me or forsake me,
For the Lord will never walk away from his cherished ones, nor would he forsake his chosen ones who belong to him. Psalm 94:14 TPT
That is when the Word of God sustains me, holds me up, and gets me moving again.
(Even if it’s only baby steps.)
Dancing in the ashes

When you need Him,
He is always there.
He is an intimate and loving friend, who will hold out His hand to your aching heart, and say,
“May I have this dance?”
He wants you back.
I remember…
I was so lonely; so bereft during these days.
I wrote a poem to the LORD pouring out what was in my heart…
Dance With Me
(A lament for the lonely)
“I will build you up again and you will be rebuilt… again you will take up your tambourines and go out to dance with the joyful… Then maidens will dance and be glad, young men and old as well. I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.” Jeremiah 31: 4, 13
Oh Abba, will You dance with me tonight?
Hold me in Your strong omnipotent might?
Pick me up–let’s whirl through galaxies and space;
Take me in Your arms of loving grace.

A broken heart You never will despise.
You hear each silent sob that my heart cries.
~~~~
I’m offering my hand;
Please twirl me once again;
Sweep away all darkness and the pain.
I need to feel Your mighty arms again.
~~~~
I need Your arms around me to feel Your strength and might,
Like frightened child cries, “Hold me! Hold me tight!”
My broken heart You told me You never will despise.
You hear each silent sob that my heart sighs…
~~~~
So pick me up and dance with me My faithful Father-friend;
Whispering Your love will never end.
Lead me to that dance floor where the starry rivers flow,
Dancing cheek to cheek so I will know…
This broken heart of mine You never will despise,
You hear each silent sob that my heart cries.
~~~~
I need for You to hold me with all Your strength and might.
Dance with me. Dance with me tonight.
His cherished Bride
That’s who you are!
You are His.
(Look! It’s in His Word.)
Zion Maidens, Brides-to-Be
Come back! Return to us, O maiden of his majesty. Dance for us as we gaze upon your beauty.
The Shulamite Bride
Why would you seek a mere Shulamite like me? Why would you want to see my dance of love?
The Bridegroom-King
Because you dance so gracefully, as though you danced with angels!
Returning His love
God knows everything you have been through, or are going through, right now.

He is here.
He loves you.
He promises your joy will return.
Won’t you respond to His invitation?
Arise, my darling! Come quickly, my beloved. Come and be the graceful gazelle with me. Come be like a young stag with me. We will DANCE in the high place of the sky, yes, on the mountains of fragrant spice. Forever we shall be united as one! Song of Songs 8:14 TPT

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! EVERY word is true and now, the next generation steps to His Dance Floor this very day. D left the hospital first thing this morning headed to her green pastures beside still waters in Olympia. Let me know if you want the address where you can write. Perhaps you could send a copy of some blogs you think might help her begin again. We head to Portland next week for Fleet Week at Rose Fest for a reunion with Alex as his ship docks at the pier for tours! TEN years since he came to see us. Bro gifted us the entire cost. God IS Restoring this family. We will dance again! Shalom ❤️✡️✝️🌹

Do you still have my email? Contact info would be nice if she is willing. Will she have access to email? Don’t want to pressure her to move faster than she is ready. Such a miracle she is found! Pray for Alex all the time. Also Andrew and Rilee. Keep all of you in my prayers.
