“There is no army, no fortress, no giant that can stand against our God. No one. I have seen with my own eyes. I have walked through the bottom of the sea. On dry ground. I have watched as he humiliated Egypt and brought the mighty Pharaoh low.”
―Connilyn Cossette, Wings of the Wind
They, too, observe the power of God in action. Psalm 107: 24 TLB
God knows your story. He knows the giants in your life; the ones who have threatened to take you down, and the ones who have promised to take you out!
He knows them, and their power is less than nothing when stacked up against His.
In Galatians 5:1 it says,
“Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you.”
[The Message]
Never again!
Let this be our battle cry!
We have been created for FREEDOM—not fear!
Giants are all about fear.
It is their number one weapon of choice. They will attempt to control with it. They bully, threaten and abuse and use fear to intimidate us. But God says to us over and over again, “Fear not!”
The Bible tells us, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear…” [1 John 4:18]
Simply put, where God’s love is His POWER is and fear must flee!
Let’s take our fear and command it to kneel before our King.
So stand before your giants declaring victory!
Your God will make a way!
Look to God and God alone for He is with you. He knows all about your giant and what He’s up to.
Remember, His power is perfected in your weakness.
Your strength is all about your relationship with Him.
He will not fail you.
Ask for His help.
Christian, with troubled brow’
Are you thinking of what is before you,
And all you are bearing now’
Does all the world seem against you,
And you in the battle alone’
Remember at Wits End Corner
Is where God’s power is shown.
Are you standing at “Wits End Corner”
Blinded with wearying pain
Feeling you cannot endure it,
You cannot bear the strain.
Bruised through the constant suffering
Dizzy and dazed, and numb
Remember at Wits End Corner,
Is where Jesus loves to come.
Are you standing at “Wits End Corner”
Your work before you spread.
Or lying begun, unfinished
And pressing on heart and head.
Longing for strength to do it
Stretching out trembling hands
Remember at “Wits End Corner”
The burden bearer stands.
Are you standing at “Wits End Corner”
Yearning for those you love,
Longing and praying and watching,
Pleading their cause above,
Trying to lead them to Jesus
Wondering if you’ve been true’
He whispers at “Wits End Corner”
“I’ll win them as I won you.”
Are you standing at “Wits End Corner”
Then you’re just in the very spot.
To learn the wondrous resources
Of Him who faileth not!
No doubt to a brighter pathway
Your footsteps will soon be moved
But only at Wits End Corner
Is the God who is able, “proved.”

They, too, observe the power of God in action. He calls to the storm winds; the waves rise high. Their ships are tossed to the heavens and sink again to the depths; the sailors cringe in terror. They reel and stagger like drunkards and are at their wit’s end. Then they cry to the Lord in their trouble, and he saves them. He calms the storm and stills the waves. What a blessing is that stillness as he brings them safely into harbor!Oh, that these men would praise the Lord for his loving-kindness and for all of his wonderful deeds! Psalm 107: 24-31 TLB
