The Least of These

And the King shall answer and say unto them, verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. —Jesus

You know, sometimes as a writer, you are feeling so much in your heart, but you just can’t quite find the right words. You think, “If I can at least get started, maybe then the words will flow.”

So you go looking for some help and inspiration.

You think, “Maybe a quote, a picture, a song… something, that you hope will inspire you to say what you want to say, in just the right way, with just the right words.”

Then, at least you can begin…

And, “Eureka!” you find it. Only you find more than you hoped. You discover there are others who have already said it, and so much better than you ever could have. Now all you can do is pass it on—hoping that someone will hear what their hearts (and yours) are all longing to say.

Therefore, I share the work of others.

May these photographers bless your heart as they have mine.

I know, they speak more eloquently than anything I could have ever shared.

Before the cross was hewn, long before casting the shadow of His son over humanity, maybe God wept in the shade of a tree, and He did so while thinking of you and me. —William Cory Stanley

“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Enter, you who are blessed by my Father! Take what’s coming to you in this kingdom. It’s been ready for you since the world’s foundation. And here’s why:

I was hungry and you fed me,
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink,
I was homeless and you gave me a room,
I was shivering and you gave me clothes,
I was sick and you stopped to visit,
I was in prison and you came to me.’

“Then those ‘sheep’ are going to say, ‘Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink? And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?’ Then the King will say, ‘I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me.’
