The Supremacy of Christ: “He is the divine portrait, the true likeness of the invisible God, and the first-born heir of all creation. In his devotional, I Hear His Whisper, Brian Simmons wrote,
I am your faithful God, unchanging when everything around you changes. My faithfulness is for you to lean upon and believe in. You will learn that there is no hidden shadow or darkness in Me, and there is nothing that will disappoint those who trust in Me. My promises are as true as My Name. I am the God of faithfulness and will always keep My word. All may change around you, but I am unchanging in My faithfulness love toward you.
Abraham trusted My promises even though he was childless. By the power of My Word, the promise was fulfilled. Isaac trusted My promise and inherited the life and power of eternity. Jacob leaned upon Me when there was nothing else to sustain him. I am the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob- My words are true. What I have promised you, I will fulfill. The words I have spoken over you will all come to pass, for My unending love for you moves My heart to show you My faithfulness.
What I have done for David I will do for you. David believed in My mercy. As He hid behind My wraparound presence, I became His shield. Nothing could harm him as he went out to battle, and nothing will harm you as you stand inside My grace. Never fear, My child, for I am for you and no one can prevail against you.
Nothing can disturb My unshakable faithfulness. When everything crumbles, I remain faithful. When all else fails, the hope of My promise will keep you and guard you. What more could I give to you that I have not already provided? My peace will flow like a river into your troubled heart until you can say, “It is well with my soul.”
