Unshakeable God

Unshakeable God

Nothing is more important to your spiritual and emotional stability than knowing just how priceless you are to our Unshakeable God.

He gave His only Son so that you would know and believe that!

The scripture says that God is a jealous God, meaning that you are so important to Him, He wants NOTHING to stand between you and His love for you.

One of the first signposts we encounter along this road we are about to journey down is GOD ALONE.

First place in your heart

I stand silently to listen for the one I love, waiting as long as it takes for the Lord to rescue me. For God alone has become my Savior. He alone is my safe place; his wrap-around presence always protects me. For he is my champion defender; there’s no risk of failure with God. So why would I let worry paralyze me, even when troubles multiply around me? Psalm 62: 1-2 TPT

It was a watershed moment the day I suddenly realized that God did not expect me to have it all together, all of the time.

I was reading the first line in Psalm 18:

Lord, I passionately love you and I’m bonded to you, for now you’ve become my power!

Unshakeable God

Just like in the cartoons we watched as kids–a light bulb popped over my head.

(Or at least it felt like it.)

… For now you’ve become my power!

And I heard it in my head like this, “Molly, I have all the strength you will ever need. You can relax now and just lean on Me.”

For a kid who grew up feeling like I had to always “be responsible” and take care of myself, this was very liberating information!

Unshakeable God plus nothing…
Unshakeable God

You mean “God alone” really means, God alone?

Yep!

There will be times when there will be others to lean on. But it is monumentally freeing to know that whether “the others” in your life show up, or let you down–your trust and confidence is in the God who gave everything for you!

He is crazy in love with you!

God is drawn to those who humbly need Him and are not too proud to say so. Our spiritual hunger and desperation for Him delights His heart.

In his lovely devotional, The Divine Romance, Brian Simmons addresses this.

One of the most significant keys to a relationship with Jesus that is tangible, fulfilling, and undeniable is spiritual hunger. Many things can choke the life out of your walk with Him. Aiming to please others more than God, believing that religious action always reflects the heart, and seeking to draw solely from others what you should be drawing from the Lord are just a few examples.

Learning about Him should stir desire within you to know Him for yourself. Church attendance should add to your already satisfied soul. First and foremost, you must move beyond the outward grasping for what others can feed you and feast upon His revelation for yourself. The way you cultivate the connection between you and the Lord is more important than anything else. No one can take the place of Jesus in your life.

Settle it for good

God wants First Place in your life.

Jesus wants to be your First Love.

The Holy Spirit wants to be the First One you come to, when you need comfort, wisdom, direction and empowerment.

When nothing else comes before Father, Son and Holy Spirit, you will find yourself on unshakeable solid ground, no matter what else is shaking in your life.
