When God Changes…The Plan

For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for well-being and not for trouble, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 NLV

I woke up around 3 a.m. the other day, hearing those words whispering…

I know the plans I have…

My “plan” for that day was something serenely simple.

I wanted a quiet day and some… Rest. (Can I hear an “amen” out there?) Because I was tired. I hadn’t been sleeping well. I felt drained and so very weary.

And in addition,

I need to also say that I am definitely techie-challenged.

I have two websites that I finally got to where I wanted them to be–but it was a struggle. There is a “language” all its own that comes with this territory, and I definitely don’t speak it very well, which is why, “I am so GRATEFUL to WordPress!”

This is why I came to WordPress–a company who is so very helpful to a baby-blogger like me!

I don’t like unexpected changes–especially in my website world.

I like, simple… clean… and everything works.

(Apparently, God wanted to change things up.)

“THANK YOU” G. S.

Don’t know who he is but he works for WordPress and he patiently walked me through the changes, even when I had to confess to him (or her?) I was, “Losing it!”

Well… we had to change out the old theme. (It wasn’t working anymore.) Technical problems that could not be fixed, so format had to change.

GS, was patiently helping me, though I kept walking in circles, trying to get somewhere with all the technical jazz, and all I really wanted to do was–go into my garden, let the sun shine on my face, and dig in the dirt.

Me, I wanted a peaceful place.

(Can anyone relate?)

Out with the old…

When God Changes The Plan

And, in with the new!

God knew we were headed in a new direction (and apparently) He wanted a new look.

So, “Voila!” womenwithdestiny.blog has a brand new look.

(With more on the way.)

To the WordPress stars…

I want to say a huge “THANK YOU” for all the WordPress team that helped me this past week:

When God Changes The Plan
  • GS, your patience was amazing!
  • To Sean M. at the Automattic Home Offices, I have done as you suggested and I am so grateful for your instant reply, kindness, and help.
  • To Bob who generously took more time and pointed out that I still do not have what I need–and then gave me wonderful direction for where I want to go, Thank You!
  • This month’s budget is maxed out, but come next month, I will be making the changes you suggested. You pointed me to the perfect spot, and gave me just what I asked for.

The last straw…

Sometimes, it’s just the “smallest thing” that finally finishes you, yes?

I know in the world of all some of you are facing, a few computer problems seems trivial, and it is.

But… it was the last straw in a week of so much warfare.

So, with that in mind, I am reaching back into my past this week for a praise song today, that used to get me through some very, very, dark days.

May this song encourage everyone who needs it!
