Lion chasers don’t run away; lion chasers run to the roar. -Mark Batterson
“Normal is overrated.” or so says Mark Batterson.
“Now, in my sixties,” I have wholeheartedly decided. “He is right!”
“Bah and humbug, to the status quo!” that’s my new motto. I have been playing it safe for much too long, and I have decided, I am going to launch this new year on an adventurous new course with God.
Get ready, because we are setting our sails for the land of, More.
More Joy, More Laughter, More Divine Destinies launched? Yeah, MORE!
(You fill in the blank!)
So, who wants to join me?
Since this is the beginning of a new year I am also suggesting that we read two books as a great launching pad for 2019.

The first, is the book, The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson. This is a small book, and trust me, you’ll whiz right through it, but keep it close by because you’ll want to refer back to it many times this year.
(It’s THAT good!)
I read this one as I finished 2018.
The second book I’m suggesting is it’s sequel, Draw the Circle, The 40 Day Prayer Challenge. This one is also by Mark Batterson and I am reading it now.
Both books are available at great prices on Amazon. Click the bold title of each book (in this post) and go right to the book’s page for purchase.
Here is a small taste to wet your appetite.
Mark makes this statement in, Draw the Circle.

I have a handful of prayers I pray all the time. Because of their frequent repetition, I call them prayer mantras. One is that God will put my books into the right hands at the right time. I’ve prayed this prayer thousands of times, and God has answered it in dramatic fashion countless times. The right book in the right hands at the right time can save a marriage, avert a mistake, demand a decision, plant a seed, conceive a dream, solve a problem, and prompt a prayer. That’s why I write. And that’s why, for me, a book sold is not a book sold; a book sold is a prayer answered. I don’t know the name and situation of every reader, but God does, and that’s all that matters.
Let’s make this year the year we take a giant leap forward in our destined purpose.
Want to?
(Yeah, me too!)
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40: 31 TLB
It’s TIME for Eagles to ROAR… heaven has come to fight for us!
We’re going to, SING OUT GOD’S PRAISES, in the middle of our storms…
UP from the ashes, HOPE will arise…
Death is defeated, OUR KING IS ALIVE!
This is the year Eagles… this is our appointed time.
Time for heaven to invade earth…
(On your mark, Get set, Go!)
