Quit running away. Mark Batterson, The Lion Chaser’s Manifesto, Chase the Lion
Well, we are coming into the last stretch of Batterson’s Lion Chaser’s Manifesto.

Here, approaching the finish line, he challenges us, “Quit running away.”
I wonder how many Christians have been destined for amazing things, and yet every time they are challenged to take the plunge?
They run away.
Perhaps thinking, “Later. I’ll do it LORD, I will. Just not yet.”
Jesus doesn’t call us to a safe life.
Brian Simmons reminds us in his devotional book, The Divine Romance,
The fears that once held you captive have been obliterated. Inhibitions have turned into dances of freedom. Forever you will dance in the highest realms of glory, rejoicing over your glorious union with Him.
Jesus is the Lord of the dance, and He ever so skillfully leads you into the most beautiful pas-de-deux of all time. You cannot stumble when He holds you in His arms. You are beautiful and graceful, powerful in every move you execute. Even the angels stand in awe of this effortless dance you share with the Lord. You are destined to move in perfect unity with Him, and you don’t have to wait until you get to heaven–you can dance with Him now. Jesus is extending His hand to you today and saying, “May I have this dance?”
Dance With Him, August 1, The Divine Romance
He has given us His all…

And Jesus asks for our all in return.
Can you hear Him?
He’s calling you to your destiny. He’s holding out His nail scarred hand to you, and saying, “Come. Dance with Me.”
Ready or not…
It’s time to chase the Lion!
We will dance in the high place of the sky… Song of Songs 8:14 TPT
