Clarify My Message

Go ahead—sing your new song to the Lord!
Let everyone in every language sing him a new song.
Don’t stop! Keep on singing! Make his name famous!
Tell everyone every day how wonderful he is.
Give them the good news of our great Savior.
Take the message of his glory and miracles to every nation.
Tell them about all the amazing things he has done. Psalm 96:1-3 TPT

Today’s message is simply two book quotes.

First, from Max Lucado’s, God is With You everyday,

“Do not be afraid; only believe.” Mark 5:36

Take a pen and paper and get alone. Go where it’s quiet, where you can think. Take your pen in your hand and–are you ready?–write down what you believe. Not what you think or hope or speculate but what you believe

Don’t throw that list away. Put your list someplace where you’ll always have it…

The next time you’re intimidated by Mr. Know-It-All or by Miss Have-It-All, the next time your self-image limps out the door, pull out your list. Take a long look at it. Have any of your undeniables been threatened? Has your foundation been attacked?

Usually not. Here’s the point: If you know what you believe (I mean really know it), if you know what’s important and what’s trivial, then you won’t be tied down by all the little Lilliputians in the world.

I really believe that.

Max Lucado, Believe, December 30, (From: On The Anvil)

If God’s grace doesn’t help the builders, they will labor in vain to build a house. Psalm 127: 1 TPT

God, bless the work of my hands. May everything I do prosper and bring forth fruit. Give me wisdom, so that I don’t waste time on worthless endeavors. Open doors of recognition, so that no venture ever goes unnoticed…

I want everything I do to be done in a spirit of excellence. Even when I’m serving others, give me strength, creativity, and integrity, in order to serve them well.

Surround each project with favor, so word will spread about all I have to offer. Bless the marketing and draw the masses. Pour out the finances to put things into play. Give me creative ideas that will make my product or business even better, and give me wisdom in the implementation.

Anoint me with grace and ease. Teach me, so I become the best at what I do. Help me hone my skills–take each undertaking from glory to glory. I submit them all to you.
