Let There Be Light!

Light-seeds are planted in the souls of God’s people,
Joy-seeds are planted in good heart-soil. Psalm 97:11 MSG

Let There Be Light!

I’ve been thinkin’ lately… quite a bit about seeds, and gardening, and Jesus.

Jesus had a lot to say about planting seeds.

And, anytime Jesus has a lot to say about anything–I try to pay attention.

(I figure it’s got to be important.)

Anyway, Jesus said, “…whatever a man (or woman) plants, is what is gonna come up.”

Not exactly rocket science is it?

With our eyes on the season

The Noticer Andy Andrews

Seems to me, as I observe this “time out season” that we’re in? Maybe God is trying to get our attention.

(He sure has gotten mine.)

I don’t know for sure, but I’ve been wondering if maybe? God is tryin’ to get our focus back on the things in this life, that are really important.

He sure has slowed us down–though I don’t believe He sent this virus.

You satisfy my every desire with good things. You’ve supercharged my life so that I soar again like a flying eagle in the sky! Psalm 103:5 TPT

(But I don’t think God lets a good teaching opportunity go to waste either!)

Nope, I think when the dust settles, we’ll look around and see that some pretty good stuff happened in the midst of all this hub-bub.

Catching our breath

I kinda’ wonder if God is just letting us catch our breath a bit.

Oh, I know, there’ll be folks out there who will see the worst in all of this.

(Those guys are always out there lookin’ to stir things up.)

But I’ve been thinking… maybe this season is for helping us to start seeing the best in folks who are our neighbors; helping each other out; finding the best even in a difficult time.

We are blessed…

Yep, we are some of the most blessed people on the planet.

Let There Be Light!

And, when this ends?

Hopefully, we will use our time (and some of our blessings) to help out our neighbors who are having a rough ride.

Let’s not forget to patronize those business folks who took a major financial hit. Maybe spend a little extra cash in their shops when they can open up again?

Let’s spread His Light by being the “light” to everyone we meet.

Looking up

And I hope you don’t forget to thank the LORD, if He kept you and your family, safe through all of this.

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. Psalm 5:3 KJV

I have come as a light to shine in this dark world so that all who trust in me will no longer wander in darkness. John 12:46 TLB
