EASE me down the path of Your truth.

In this day in which we live, it has become common to believe that each of us may decide for ourselves, what is the TRUTH.
We decide.
But, here is where I like to always go back to a simple basic “truth,” that no one refutes: GRAVITY
And I ask, “Do you get to decide what gravity is, or how it works? Can you control what goes up, and what must come down–simply by believing something contrary to the irrefutable truth that is: The Law of Gravity?”
Nonsense, right?
God’s Truth or Man’s Fiction?
Yet, it has also become quite common to believe that the truths and stories the Bible teaches, are merely man’s fiction.
Just made up legends, passed down from past generations, and wholly unreliable.
To this I also say, “Nonsense.”
Instead, I ask you to look at the complexities of the universe that surrounds you.
Go to the Hubble website and gaze at the wonder and majesty it has captured for us.
Look through a microscope, and discover the wonder and majesty that is your own incredibly complicated DNA.
Watch a video on The Mandelbrot Set–study what the mathematicians say about the extraordinary, complex mathematics, that compose and reveal the world around you.
Then, try to tell me that we “evolved” up from the primordial soup.
Talk about requiring Faith!
And, you want me to believe that all this evidence that surrounds us, “Just appeared out of their own volition?”
That, this incredible creation, has no Creator?
That we, are all that there is?”
Talk about living by faith!
But, faith in what?
Nothing at all?
The wise and fools
The Bible has a lot to say about what is wise and what is foolishness.
Only fools say in their hearts,
“There is no God.” Psalm 14:1 NLT
I don’t want to be considered a fool, but if you tell me that I have to believe in NOTHING, to be wise? Well, I would say, “Have another good look at the Hubble site.”
No, I think not.
Instead I choose a different path.
I choose to believe in a God who calls Himself Love.
After all, Eternity, is a very, very, long time to live with the consequences of choosing wrong!
I would rather dare to pray…
Teach me your ways, O Lord,
that I may live according to your truth!
Grant me purity of heart,
so that I may honor you.
PSALM 86:11 Nlt
I would rather believe, that God’s love wins in the end, not man’s hatred.
Jesus prayed for those who believe
Jesus said these things. Then, raising his eyes in prayer, he said:
Father, it’s time.
Display the bright splendor of your Son
So the Son in turn may show your bright splendor.
You put him in charge of everything human
So he might give real and eternal life to all in his care.
And this is the real and eternal life:
That they know you,
The one and only true God,
And Jesus Christ, whom you sent.
I glorified you on earth
By completing down to the last detail
What you assigned me to do.
And now, Father, glorify me with your very own splendor,
The very splendor I had in your presence
Before there was a world.

I spelled out your character in detail
To the men and women you gave me.
They were yours in the first place;
Then you gave them to me,
And they have now done what you said.
They know now, beyond the shadow of a doubt,
That everything you gave me is firsthand from you,
For the message you gave me, I gave them;
And they took it, and were convinced
That I came from you.
They believed that you sent me.
I pray for them.
I’m not praying for the God-rejecting world
But for those you gave me,
For they are yours by right.
Everything mine is yours, and yours mine,
And my life is on display in them.
For I’m no longer going to be visible in the world;
They’ll continue in the world
While I return to you.
Holy Father, guard them as they pursue this life
That you conferred as a gift through me,
So they can be one heart and mind
As we are one heart and mind.
As long as I was with them, I guarded them
In the pursuit of the life you gave through me;
I even posted a lookout.
And not one of them got away,
Except for the rebel bent on destruction
(the exception that proved the rule of Scripture).

Now I’m returning to you.
I’m saying these things in the world’s hearing
So my people can experience
My joy completed in them.
I gave them your word;
The godless world hated them because of it,
Because they didn’t join the world’s ways,
Just as I didn’t join the world’s ways.
I’m not asking that you take them out of the world
But that you guard them from the Evil One.
They are no more defined by the world
Than I am defined by the world.
Make them holy—consecrated—with the truth;
Your word is consecrating truth.
In the same way that you gave me a mission in the world,
I give them a mission in the world.
I’m consecrating myself for their sakes
So they’ll be truth-consecrated in their mission.
