Wisdom & Bold Asking

If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open. James 1: 5-8 The Message

When I was younger, I believed that the more options I had, the better.

Ask Boldly For Wisdom

Today? Not so much, please!

You see, I find that the more choices I have, the more chaos, confusion, and noise in my soul.

I have come to staunchly believe something that Pastor Jack Hayford shared in a message long ago, “SIMPLICITY IS A CLEAR WINDOW.”

And, I find both simplicity and clarity, when I go to God’s Word.

Simple Stories–Eternal Truths
Ask Boldly For Wisdom

Have you ever noticed how the stories Jesus told were so simple, yet incredibly clear.

He didn’t need DEEP, or COMPLICATED, to get His message across.

Jesus illustrated for us, the most profound truths with utter simplicity.

Help me LORD to do the same.

Father,

This is a time of transitioning into new things.

How desperately we need Your wisdom as we launch into this new beginning of our New Year; of this new decade.

  • Help us to be a “clear window” in this very dark world.
  • Draw us by Your Spirit Father.
  • Open Your Word to us–for there, is where great wisdom is found.
  • There, is where I always find You.

So, today, I come asking boldly, believingly, for wisdom as I step out into the unknown.

In Jesus Name, I bravely ask You for everything I need for this new adventure we have begun!

Amen.

My child, will you treasure my wisdom? Then, and only then, will you acquire it. And only if you accept my advice and hide it within will you succeed. So train your heart to listen when I speak and open your spirit wide to expand your discernment—then pass it on to your sons and daughters. Yes, cry out for comprehension and intercede for insight. For if you keep seeking it like a man would seek for sterling silver, searching in hidden places for cherished treasure, then you will discover the fear of the Lord and find the true knowledge of God. Wisdom is a gift from a generous God, and every word he speaks is full of revelation and becomes a fountain of understanding within you. For the Lord has a hidden storehouse of wisdom made accessible to his godly lovers. He becomes your personal bodyguard as you follow his ways, protecting and guarding you as you choose what is right.
